ABOUT OUR RIVER HOUSEOur house on the river in Rockton was one of the original limestone homes built in the 1800’s with two additions being added in the early 1980’s. We purchased it about five yeas ago when it became too much for the previous owner to care for. He was in the antique business. Many of his original antiques pieces remain throughout the house including brass chandeliers in the dining room,stained glass windows in the some of the bathrooms, and numerous signs, tins and other assorted pieces. The house was actually featured on the cover of Country Living magazine in 1983. Though there have been some changes we have tried to maintain the charm we fell in love with and keep it a place to relax and unwind. The deck off of the Suite looks out onto the beautiful Rock River, a truly quiet and restful place to enjoy your stay in the Rockton area. |
